Say Goodbye to iPhone Storage Limits

Even the latest iPhone 15, iPhone 16, or Pro Max models have limited internal storage. With high-resolution photos, 4K videos, Apple ProRes footage, and apps taking up space, iPhone’s storage capacity runs out quickly. While iCloud storage is an option, it requires internet access, monthly fees, and can be slow. A portable SSD like Digiera gives you expanded storage instantly, offline, and without compromise.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. Is it better to use cloud storage or an SSD?

Cloud storage is convenient for syncing across devices, but it depends on internet speed, subscription costs, and available space. A MagSafe portable SSD offers faster data transfer, works offline, and has no monthly fees. For iPhone users who capture lots of photos and videos, combining both options often works best: use cloud for syncing, and an external solid state drive for expanded storage and backups.

Q2. Does the iPhone allow portable storage?

Yes. Modern iPhones with a USB-C port (like iPhone 15 and newer) support external storage devices such as portable SSDs and USB flash drives. You can connect via the USB-C connector or use a MagSafe external SSD for a seamless experience. Files can be managed directly through Apple’s Files app.

Q3. Can I add more storage space to my iPhone?

While you cannot upgrade the internal storage, you can expand your iPhone’s storage capacity with an external storage device such as a MagSafe portable SSD or USB-C flash drive. This gives you extra room for photos, videos, larger files, and important documents without relying only on iCloud storage.

Q4. What should I do if I can’t copy files to or read files from the hard drive when connected to iPhone?

1. Make sure your external drive is formatted in a file system compatible with iOS/iPadOS (exFAT is recommended).

2. Check that the USB type-C connector or adapter is working properly.

3. Confirm that the drive supports USB 3.2 high-speed data transfer for reliable performance.

4. Try reconnecting through the Files app or restart the device.
If issues continue, reformat the drive on a PC/Mac or contact the manufacturer for support.

Q5. How long will data stay on a MagSafe portable SSD?

Data on a MagSafe external SSD is non-volatile, meaning it will remain stored even without power. With normal use, data can last for many years. Unlike cloud storage subscriptions, your files stay on the portable SSD until you delete them. For maximum safety, we recommend keeping a backup on another device, such as a PC, Mac, or secondary external drive.

Super compact 512GB external SSD hard drive! Very, very easy to use just plug in and go! The drive lights up when in use. I use mine with my MacBook Pro to keep backups of my photos, music, and other important documents. This drive will come in super handy when having to move large files around. The data transfers through the USB-C cable are super fast, too! Overall, excellent product and would highly recommend.

Works great. Set it up, plugged it into my Macbook Pro and it worked great. I'm on a Macbook Pro M1 2020 edition and I'm getting about 1,000 MBPS when I plug it straight into my native USB C port. (Mine's a 3.1 USB C port so that explains why I don't get the full 2k.) If I go through a USB3.0 adapter (like on my dock) it drops to 40MBPS but that's not this drive's fault. Just make sure you plug it straint into your native USBC ports.

This 512GB portable SSD has a lot going for it. It sticks securely to my Android phone with its magnetic case, and the enclosure feels durable and well-made. It connects easily to any device, whether it's my Android or PC. But, when I tested the speed, I got around 1000 MB/s read/write on a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port'only half of the advertised speed, which is a bit disappointing. It's on the pricier side for 512GB, and while it works well overall, there are other options out there with better performance at a lower price.

Excellent quality MagSafe 512GB SSD. The case feels solid.

It comes with a magnetic sticker in case you're phone or case does not have MagSafe.

The USB C cable is of very good quality.

The magnet is very strong and attaches confidently to my iPhone 16 pro max. The default file system is ExFat and was immediately recognized by my iPhone 16 Pro Max.

I connected it to my MacBook Pro and reformatted it to APFS case sensitive encrypted format and tested the ssd with Blackmagic disk test. It gave a read write of approximately 500Mbps, which is less than I expected at this price point.

But it is more than enough for ProRes video recording.

I would definitely recommend this SSD

The 1TB magnetic portable SSD is a sleek and versatile external drive. While it seems to contain an M.2 2230 SSD, it's important to note that you can find 2TB options in this price range. The drive's polished circular design is MagSafe-compatible, making it a great fit for iPhone 15 users with its USB-C connection. However, if you're using an iPhone 14 or an older model, you'll need an adapter for the Lightning port.

I tested the SSD with my MacBook Pro, and while the performance was solid, it didn't quite reach the advertised speeds. I recorded read speeds of 965MB/s and write speeds of 898MB/s, which are still impressive for an external drive. After extended use, the device does get a little warm. Overall, it's a compact and durable solution for content creators, professionals, and gamers, offering good performance in a stylish form factor.
